I am the Vine ....

Jesus tells us that He is the Vine and we are the branches and without Him we can do nothing. The Gospel for this Sunday after Easter is one that I love. We are rooted in Him. He tells us to "abide in me as I abide in you." A bit later He reminds us that He has chosen us to bear fruit and that we are to remain in His Love. 

This is a short reflection today, but our relationship with Jesus is real and we need to cultivate it. If you have a friend and never think of her/him/, it is not a very close relationship. We not only think of our friends but try to please them in little ways even if separated by distance. How am I cultivating my deep relationship with Jesus?
