I always hate to put away Christmas decorations and keep a tiny Infant Jesus in my room all of January! I think we need to spend the forty days after Christmas in giving and receiving all sorts of small gifts, hidden services, or just smiles to brighten someone's day. I am really trying to keep the Christmas spirit alive this year in new ways. I think the Holy Father has inspired me with his Gospel of Joy to go out to others (please do not think I am doing this well yet, but only trying) and love them. I guess I want to be a joy-bearer and sometimes one must make a real effort to be one.
