I seem to have fire enkindled as a symbol of the Trinity burning with love for one another and for us. Here is the opening prayer for Sunday:
Father, you sent your Word to bring us truth and your Spirit to make us holy.
Through them we come to know the mystery of your life.
Help us to worship you, one God in three Persons, by proclaiming and living our faith in you. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, on God for ever and ever.
It is good to remember that it is through Jesus, the Incarnate Word, and the Spirit that we "come to know the mystery", of God's life. We also need to pray for help for our worship and our faith in this "One God in three Persons".
We need to cultivate a relationship with each of the three Persons in the Trinity and this Sunday is a good day for dialogue with all three.
