The first reading from Jeremiah 38:4-6,8-10 has poor Jeremiah thrown into cistern and being stuck in the mud at the bottom.

I am reading Living an Examined Life: Wisdom for the Second Half of the Journey by James Hollis, PhD and the 7th Chapter is titled: "Vow to Get Unstuck"!! Easier said than done!

This is my brother and sister-in-law's last day here and I did not plan anything so we will see what they may want to do.

All the faculty are back on Monday and school starts the next week. Our construction is causing us to need to go in by the laundry door in the back and, besides the new front entrance and drive, we will have three rooms in our new annex in front and by October we will have three handicap bathrooms near the front door. The three offices are being emptied while that work is going on as they are also taking up the carpet; the fireside room will be used for office needs while this is being done. I am sure it will be lovely when finishes!
