The top picture is to remind us that Jesus came to His disciples that first Easter night and said to them: "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you." When Jesus had said this, he breathed on the disciples and said to them, "Receive the holy Spirit."
We know that we also have been given the Holy Spirit. First, in Baptism, and then in the Sacrament of Confirmation we are marked with an invisible sign that makes us both children of God and one who possesses the Spirit. We need to be attentive to the action of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives. Jesus is still saying to us, "As the Father has sent me, so I send you." It may only be to visit the lonely, write a note, send a word of comfort to someone, etc. Let the Spirit lead us today!
